One of the most versatile Italian musicians of the 20th century, Alessandro Alessandroni (Rome, 1925 – Swakopmund, Namibia, 2017) was a composer, arranger, singer and multi-instrumentalist whose impact on pop culture is immeasurable, from his unique guitar work and his famous whistle for Ennio Morricone’s spaghetti western soundtracks, to the unforgettable vocal hook of Piero Umiliani’s song “Mah Nà Mah Nà”.
In a career that spanned seven decades, Alessandroni scored almost 100 movies and recorded countless library music albums, many of which are being rediscovered and acclaimed all over the world by audiences and critics alike.
