Italian Erotic Sound
Sensual tracks from the 70s
In Italian film, the sexual revolution of the ’70s was reflected in the development of distinctly Italian subgenres like sex comedies, erotic-exotic comedies, thrillers and dramas, all of which greatly contributed to the emergence of what we now call “Italian erotic sound”.
This often takes the form of a mellow, velvety sound that glimmers with unique sweetness and sensuality thanks to sublime vocalizing by soprano Edda Dell’Orso, but the sonic palette of Italian eroticism includes smooth psychedelic funk, jazz-funk, bossa nova influences, hippie lounge/beach disco, and perky ye-ye vibes.
For your listening pleasure, we’ve put together a smoking selection of hot and sensual tracks from soundtracks and library music recorded between 1972-1979, some of which have never been released.
Just keep some ice water nearby. You’ll feel the temperature rising!
